Vintage Henry Boker Wooden Smoothing Plane
Continental Style Smoother | Original Boker Oval Decal & Sheffield Iron
This classic continental-style wooden smoothing plane bears the original oval Boker decal behind the front horn handle. Consequently, it offers comfortable forward control and excellent feedback during timber finishing.
Although made by Boker in Germany, this example comes fitted with an old Sheffield-made Marples cutting iron.

Marple Sheffield Iron: Fitted with a quality English 2″ iron stamped by respected Sheffield maker W Marples & Sons.
Original Boker Decal: Retains the classic red and gold oval Boker transfer mark behind the front horn still in tact.
Solid Beech Stock: Carved from durable European beech with original wedge securing.
Condition Note:
Overall, the wooden body remains in solid condition with expected light workshop wear. In addition, the sole is flat with a tight mouth opening. The wedge fits snugly, and the iron retains plenty of usable length for future sharpening. We haven’t done anything to this one, so with a small efforts she can look prettier than shown.
A nice piece for those that favour the traditional European hand tools or woodworkers looking for a classic horn plane user.
