Description
Marples spokeshave. Made in Sheffield, England. 10 1/2″ beech spokeshave. Steel repair to the mouth. Not the prettiest, but effective. Blade is in reasonable condition and provides a nice tight mouth. There is a little corrosion on the blade, but not serious and could easily be cleaned off. Strange steel dots in the top of the spokeshave. Possible ground down tacks, but unclear of purpose – no wooden repairs evident – may have been added as identification.
