This Yankee No.1555 breast drill is being sold in parts due to some parts being broken or missing, ideal for restorers, machinists, and collectors seeking original components to complete or repair their own drills. The 1555 is one of the most complex and desirable Yankee drills ever made, and original parts are increasingly scarce. The drive type selector was seized and the grub screw holding the main shaft on the drill was missing. Otherwise, it is all in excellent condition. The drill is the one in the photographs.

Cast Breast Plate
Original curved breast plate from a Yankee No.1555 breast drill. The casting is solid with no cracks or bends. Orientation pin present and loose enough to change preferred orientation. This has been repainted, but still has some minor loss of finish.
Securing screw provided, but likely to be incorrect thread
