This No.540 hand drill is being sold in parts due to some parts being broken or missing, ideal for restorers, machinists, and collectors seeking original components to complete or repair their own drills. The No.540 hand drill is one of the most complex and desirable Yankee hand drills ever made, and original parts are increasingly scarce.  The chuck kept sticking and both bevelled drive wheels have missing teeth.  Otherwise, it is all in excellent condition.   The drill is the one in the photographs.

Original red drive gear wheel from Yankee No.540 hand drill.  All teeth in good used condition. Main drive handle location lugs present and undamaged. Probably repainted.
