This No.540 hand drill is being sold in parts due to some parts being broken or missing, ideal for restorers, machinists, and collectors seeking original components to complete or repair their own drills. The No.540 hand drill is one of the most complex and desirable Yankee hand drills ever made, and original parts are increasingly scarce.  The chuck kept sticking and both bevelled drive wheels have missing teeth.  Otherwise, it is all in excellent condition.   The drill is the one in the photographs.

Main crank cover washer and screw

The washer and screw that holds the crank onto the main drive gear and the low-speed drive gears for the Yankee No.540 hand drill. Washer and screw are both in good original condition.  Screw’s threads are in excellent condition.
