Description
C+P brass and rosewood mortice marking gauge. Feint stamp in wood stem looks like C+P Sheffield. We stripped, repaired the fence’s woodwork, cleaned and reassembled this tool to confirm its good working condition. Has two blade type markers on the tenon marking side and a single point the other side all of which need a little sharpening. Deep locking screw still in very good condition. Marked with owner’s name W.C. Butcher. Ready to be set to work again. Overall length of tool is 8 inches.
Ideal vintage user without the hefty price tag of a Stanley or Marples.
