Welcome to the old tool shop where we buy and sell quality old tools. We also provide information about quality old tools and toolmakers making traditional tools often using traditional techniques.
We sell quality vintage tools in varied condition. From new old stock, to user grade, to restored, to tools which need restoring. We also sell spare parts to help customers keep those vintage tools working. We are based in NSW Australia, but buy and sell throughout the world.
Our Mission is to keep old tools working and craft skills alive.
We only sell quality old tools. Our policy is that if you aren’t happy with your purchase you can return the tool in it’s as sold condition for a full refund of the purchase price. See T&Cs
We aim to ship within 48 business hours of receiving your order, but often ship the same or next business day. We offer multiple levels of delivery service to get those tools to you fast when you need them.
This site aims to provide not only great tool resources, but also detailed descriptions and photographs to help you determine the condition of the tools we sell.
We know there are some amazing artists out there making traditional hand tools and doing great work to rival the best of them. We want you to support these people and keep their order books full.
Old Tool Shop started because we were already buying and selling quality vintage tools and wanted to better showcase what we sold. We also wanted to buy more vintage tools and thought this might encourage people to contact us.
We retain the sales history on this site to allow sellers to realistically price what they sell.
And lastly we wanted to provide great information for tool collectors and referrals to some excellent traditional toolmakers.
