Description
Carter C40 grooving plane. Made in Australia. Very unusual to see one of these chrome-plated. It looks too good to be a recast version (machining marks in tongue still present). It may have been a special or maybe a user had access to a chrome plating service. Either way it looks great and will probably never rust. The surface finish wasn’t perfectly prepared before plating, so don’t expect perfection on all surfaces. Carter’s were never perfectly finished from the factory anyway. Supplied with single 1/8th inch cutter.
