As Edward Preston Trammell point set’s go, these are lovely. 5″ long and in awesome condition. Both marked as Preston. But they are also an historic Australian set.
The brass thumbscrew for holding the pencil is stamped with C. Crowley and Sons, Sydney. This company made show stands and window fittings for drapers, milliners, tailors, bootmakers, dressmakers, started in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne before moving to number 5 Queen Victoria Markets, Sydney in the late 1890s, before finally closing their doors in 1930.
