Marples Boxwood Chisels NOS x2

Description

Two new old stock boxwood handled Marples bevel edged chisels in original packaging.  19mm or 3/4″ (28cm long) and 16mm or 5/8″ (27cm long).  A rare find indeed.  These chisels are basically new.  Once has had an edge put on it, the other is still wearing the factory edge grind.  All other surfaces are straight from the factory.  These were purchased as chisels to be used when the current ones wore out, but the cabinet maker never made it that far. 🙁

Grubby, and with the occassional spot of surface rust from storage.  Prepare these for the bench and they’ll outlast you.  See if you can find three more to match in different sizes and you could probably ask $400-$500 for the set.
