Description
This nice little McEwan Special dovetail saw we are guessing by the design was made in the the early 1900s. Made in Sheffield, England. Steel backed and in good condition. Teeth are all present and regularly spaced. The 10″ plate has a bit of a gentle curve in it which will need straightening. The etch is still evident, but only just. The plate has some surface rust on it so a little cleaning will make this saw look much better. The rip filed teeth which are at 9tpi need sharpening. Very little set evident. Handle is in good condition and there is no movement between it and the plate. Nice little basic saw which can easily be restored to be a fine user.
