This is an extraordinary, comprehensive master accessory package for the Record No.405 Combination Plane. Designed to expand the joinery capabilities of Record’s flagship multi-plane, this expansive set includes the complete series of 4 Hollow and 4 Round special base skates with matching cutters included in an extensive array of 52 total plane irons (featuring rare specialized profiles), a pair of extra-long 12-inch fence rods, and a custom-made storage holder make up this flagship set.
This set represents an exceptionally rare opportunity for master joiners and tool collectors to acquire a fully equipped, expanded outfit for complex moulding, reeding, sash, and plough work.

Condition
All components are clearly used, but are in good vintage condition. The special base skates retain clean surfaces and smooth thumbscrew threads, (although they would benefit from further cleaning) the irons feature generous working length with clear Record factory stamps/labels on all but two of the smaller ovolo cutters (which appear to be custom made for the previous owner), and the extended rods are straight and clean. In fact, it may include every optional cutter for the No.405 except the reeding cutters which were offered in 12 sizes whereas this set only includes the 4 smaller reeding cutters.
