Description
Fascinating Tego Solder Heat tool which would have been the ‘Rolls Royce’ of solder irons in its day. In an age when soldering irons were large masses of copper that had to be put into the fire or under a blowtorch to get them hot, this was innovation. The compartment in the iron allowed hot coals to be put into the copper head which would keep the tool hot for ages compared to normal tools of the era. This tool was lovingly restored by and came to us as part of the Hamilton Collection.
Not sure of the Company history or Country of Origin. About 11″ long.
We can’t vouch for the black paint being heat-proof if you intend to use it, but really this is too much of a beautiful relic to use anyway.
