W Marples and Sons brass mortice marking gauge. Marked W Marples and Sons, Hibernia and Sheffield. Lovely condition brass and maybe rosewood gauge. No signs of any real damage apart from minor damage to locking screw’s slot, but still perfectly functional and properly locks position. Heavy at over 300g and just over 6.5″ long. Top end vintage in amazing condition and so probably for collector.
