We don’t claim this No.4 sized bench plane to be extra special, that’s just part of the Narex brand name. Made in Czechoslovakia. These were common tools in the late 80s and have a few interesting quirks about them. The frog is integrated into the handle and the mouth can be adjusted using a wheel and a locking screw. It also has a blade depth and lateral adjustment. We can’t vouch for its abilities as we haven’t set this up to be bench ready, but it’s certainly unusual. There was another brand around at the time called Narex and this is very similar (without the yellow sole)!
