10 1/2″ Rosewood Try Square – Disston?

Nice brass faced vintage rosewood try square – believed to be Disston and Sons No. 1 and if so, made in USA.  We can make out …..ON & SONS in an arch and then there does appear to be a No. 1 below it.  The ‘n’ is almost gone, the ‘o.’ is feint, but the 1 is clear.  Checked for square and found to be good. The graduated plate has seen so much wear that the graduations and numbers are barely visible.  At some point the plate has been bent and straightened (see shading about an inch from the end of the plate).  It’s a good repair (i.e. pretty flat), but it is noticeable. No other bends or twists.  A fine vintage and well-loved user.
