H Disston and Sons 12″ tenon saw

Description

Nice H Disston and Sons steel backed 12″ tenon saw as a restoration project.  As the medallion has H Disston and Sons Philada on it we date this at between 1896-1917,

The wooden handle is dirty, but has no splits, repairs of chunks missing.  There is minimal rock in the handle – probably just needs the screws tightening.

The plate is pretty darn straight.  The teeth are all intact, but will need a sharpen.  Looks to be about 13tpi.  The rust will mostly be surface rust from the looks of it.  No evidence of any plate marking visible, but we haven’t cleaned it or removed any surface rust.

Not a difficult restoration for someone who can sharpen a saw.
