EA Berg 1 1/4″ (32mm) bevel edge chisel. Made in Sweden. We aren’t keen on this replacement handle, which is a bit ugly, especially with the polyurethane varnish, however it will hold up decently especially as Bergs aren’t meant to be hammered too hard. The edge will need a bit of work too as the corners have been rounded off and someone has taken a swipe at the underside so it has a small bevel underneath. The chisel is also magnetic which implies it’s probably got too hot. The edge had some grinding marks on it when we received it. As such we would recommend knocking the edge back a bit to get to the older better steel. The metal of this chisel is what’s important and this one has plenty of it left. Great user after a bit of work. You’ll struggle to find one this size at a better price.
