Description
Rabone Chesterman 1161 metric 1 metre folding ruler. Marked with Patent No. 1173229 and BS4484 which is the British Standard for Measuring Instruments. Made in England. Great condition, but the brass plating of the metalwork has flaked off in places. Unknown wood. Probably a replacement for boxwood as appears a later model. There are some dirty patches on the inner faces in the photographs. These were just dirty finger prints and have since been wiped off.
