Description
We love to find old tools in boxes made by their owners and this old woodworking plane fits that description. If the owner goes to the trouble to make a box you know he has also looked after the tool inside. And this is a great example of a boxed Stanley 78 fillister plane. It comes complete with depth stop, fence, knicker and original instruction book. The plane shows little to no signs of wear, corrosion or damage.
We haven’t sharpened the blade. We only sharpen blades to remove obvious signs of damage and this one didn’t need anything. Give it a quick sharpen and it will make an awesome user plane.
