Description
Stanley Bailey No.5 plane made in Australia. Matching Stanley blade also made in Australia. All there and in good condition. Plane has been quite heavily restored with the original finish removed and replaced with oil. Sole has been repainted. Levercap has some minor loss of chrome in places, otherwise as good as new if not strictly original. Iron sharp and bench ready straight off a grinder, but well done. Still would benefit from honing. We haven’t had to touch this one. Put it to work.
This is the size bench plane most woodworkers would choose if they could only have one bench plane.
