Description
Nice hardwood user-made tongue plane. This is a well-made tool from dense hardwood. The iron appears to be hand forged. What we particularly like about this plane is the weight of the iron (which appears to be great steel) and how well the wedge is made. Not only does it fit nicely, it also seals the throat and mimics the profile of the throat. Iron is 1 1/8″ (28mm) with a 1/4″ tongue left in the middle. Iron isn’t currently completely square edged, but is sharp.
